Important information about the study
Studientitel: AI-Driven Analysis of Menstrual Blood: Diagnosing Endometriosis through Image Processing
Purpose of the Study: The overall objective of this project is to create a robust dataset of menstrual blood images paired with health status information with women suffering from endometriosis in Germany and to propose a novel application of Machine Learning-based image processing to analyse them. Therefore, perceptions, practices and attitudes of women and gynaecologists on using menstrual blood for health assessment will be explored.
Procedures: The answering of the survey questions is expected to take approximately 10 minutes.
Possible Risks and benefits: Since this survey collects sensitive data, there is a risk to confidentiality. However, this risk is minimized as participation is completely anonymous. By taking part in this study, you will contribute to the development of non-invasive diagnostic alternatives for endometriosis. Additionally, your participation will help promote the discussion of menstruation in medical research.
Voluntary Participation: Your participation in this study is voluntary and you may choose not to participate or end your participation at any time without penalty.
Ethical considerations: This study follows the usual ethical principles for scientific research. As a participant, you have the opportunity to share your priorities and values regarding this research. You may also be involved in research design, implementation, and result dissemination.
